CLICKY
This is an online music streaming program. You type in a song or artist that you like, and this thing (which has a database of over 300,000 songs) choose other music for you to listen to. Here's where the breakthrough comes; it doesn't choose music based on what is popular amongst others who listen to the band / song you input; it chooses the new music based on objective criteria, such as soundwave analysis. It's fucking AWESOME. I have made a ridiculously awesome King Crimson radio station, where I basically input King Crimson, a few of their harder songs, and then sone Mars Volta, and it's giving me awesome music I've never heard before.
You get ten hours free before you have to sign up, and I'm so pumped up about this that I'll be subscribing. And I *never* subscribe to this type of this. This service is seriously amazing, and the creators post on a message board I frequent, so they are quickly assimilating suggestions and adding new music to the database. There's quite a bit of indie music in here.

Free money
I wondered the same thing myself. I imagine you're right, if you clear your cookies you're cool, but I think you'd also lose your radio station, which kinda sucks.October 8 2005, 01:25:39 UTC 6 years ago
Hmm
I'm honestly not sure. I think they *must* do it by cookies, but I guess conceivably it could be through IP address. Cookies are more likely, though. In any case, I think it's worth 3 dollars a month. This may be the first music site I actually pay for.
